Accessibility Checker is a Google Docs add-on operated by Estevan Castro, sole proprietor, of Bogotá, Colombia. Contact: [email protected]. This policy covers the Accessibility Checker add-on and this website, and no other product.

What Google user data the add-on accesses

The add-on requests four Google permissions and no others. None of them is classified by Google as sensitive or restricted.

• documents.currentonly — see and edit only the specific Google Doc you have open while you are using the add-on. This is used to read the structure of that document: heading levels, whether tables have a header row, whether images carry alt text, what text each link shows — and to move your cursor to the element that failed. It cannot see your Google Drive, your other documents, your email or your contacts, and it cannot open a document you are not actively working in.
• script.container.ui — display the sidebar inside that document. No data is read through this permission.
• script.external_request — make one outbound request, to our licence server at https://getpreair.com/api/check, to ask whether your account has an active subscription. Nothing from your document is ever sent in that request.
• userinfo.email — read the email address of the Google account signed in, so the licence check knows which subscription to look up, and so a district licence can cover everyone on the same email domain.

How we use it, and what we never do with it

Your document never leaves Google. The accessibility checks run on Google’s own servers, inside your document’s session. We do not receive, read, copy, store or transmit the content of your documents. We never see them.

Your email address is used for one purpose only: to look up whether that account, or its email domain, has an active subscription. It is not used for marketing, is never sold or rented, and is not added to any mailing list.

We do not use Google user data for advertising of any kind, for profiling, for credit assessment, or to build databases for resale.

What is stored, and where

• A count of how many checks you have run this month, so the free tier can be applied. This is stored by Google in your own user properties, on Google’s infrastructure, not on our servers, and contains no document content.
• The result of the licence check is cached for six hours in Google’s per-user cache, so we do not query on every run. It is a single true/false value.
• If you subscribe, your email address and subscription status are held by Paddle, our payment processor. Our licence server keeps no database of its own: it asks Paddle each time. We never see or store card details.

Who we share it with

We do not transfer, sell, rent or disclose Google user data to third parties for any purpose other than providing the service described here. There are exactly two processors involved:

• Paddle.com Market Ltd, merchant of record, which processes payments and holds subscriber records. Your email address is sent to Paddle when checking a licence.
• Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts this website and the licence endpoint.

We may disclose information if required by law. We would tell you unless legally barred from doing so.

How your data is protected

• All traffic between the add-on, this website and our licence server is encrypted in transit with TLS. The add-on validates certificates and will not fall back to an unencrypted request.
• The strongest protection is architectural: document content is never transmitted, so there is no copy of it to leak. The licence request carries an email address and nothing else.
• Our licence server holds no database. Credentials for the payment processor are stored as encrypted environment secrets, never in source code.
• Access to the systems that run this service is protected by two-factor authentication.

Retention and deletion

• The monthly check count resets automatically each month and is deleted when you uninstall the add-on, because it lives in Google’s storage tied to your installation.
• The cached licence result expires after six hours.
• Subscriber records are retained by Paddle for as long as your subscription is active and afterwards for the period their own retention and tax obligations require.
• To have your licence record deleted, email [email protected]; it is removed within 7 days.
• You can revoke the add-on’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which ends all access immediately.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Accessibility Checker’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not use Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve or train non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not transfer Google user data to any third party for that purpose.

Children

This is a tool for organisations and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and a notice appears in the add-on sidebar before the change takes effect. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without your explicit consent.
